CRM company, Salesforce, has appointed Mark Innes as general manager for Asia-Pacific.

In this newly created role, Innes will be responsible for the growth of the Asia-Pacific region and helping customers of all sizes and industries with their business transformation.

Prior to the appointment, he was Salesforce senior vice-president of enterprise business in Australia and New Zealand, before later expanding to head Asia-Pacific in 2014, where he lead the success of the company’s customers including Australia Post, Changi Airport, Cochlear and NSW Department of Family and Community Services.

Before Salesforce, Innes was vice-president of Oracle’s applications business in A/NZ.

“Asia-Pacific is one of the world’s fastest growing Cloud markets, and I am thrilled to be taking on this position to help Salesforce capitalise on the opportunity here,” he said.

Salesforce vice-chairman, president and chief operating officer, Keith Block, added, “There's a race to the top around transformation in the age of the customer, and Asia-Pacific is no exception.

“Every company is looking for ways to put customers at the centre of their business and Mark’s leadership and proven track record of customer success will accelerate our ability to deliver Asia-Pacific’s next decade of growth.”
