Synnex Australia has signed a local distribution agreement with power and thermal management solution manufacturer, Delta Electronics, as the vendor moves to make its mark in the Aussie IT channel.

The deal with see the technology distributor supply products from the global vendor’s Mission Critical Infrastructure Solutions (MCIS) business in the Australian market.

Delta Electronics’ range of MCIS products include uninterrupted power supplies (UPS), precision cooling, power quality control, and datacentre infrastructure solutions for the continuity of mission critical operations.

According to Delta Energy Systems MCIS Business Unit Business development manager, Max Perez, the local partnership with Synnex gives the company a springboard into the local IT channel.

“We are excited to continue our expansion in the IT market together with Synnex to drive growth for both companies,” said Perez. “This new alliance shows our commitment to the ICT channel, while increasing brand awareness and speed to market, with enhanced logistics capabilities through Synnex’s fully automated logistic centre and national coverage.”

For Synnex Australia product director, Yu Chen Liao, the agreement represents a boon for the distributor’s IT power solutions portfolio.

“Delta Electronics MCIS provide highly-reliable and efficient power management products like UPS and datacentre infrastructure solutions for any type and size of businesses,” said Liao.

“This partnership reinforces and expands Synnex's power solution offering for partners servicing SMBs to large enterprises by providing access to innovative, reliable and efficient power solutions to ensure the continuity of their business,” he said.

The deal comes almost two years after Delta Energy Systems, Delta Electronic’s local subsidiary, signed an Australian distribution agreement with Avnet.

The two companies inked a deal in February 2015, giving Avnet’s Australian channel partners access to Delta’s full UPS range of products.

"Signing Delta reinforces our continued focus on solutions distribution and provides yet another profitable growth leverage point for our partner ecosystem", said Avnet Technology Solutions Australia and New Zealand vice president and general manager, Darren Adams, at the time.

“Delta’s innovative UPS range, including the HPH, RT and GAIA Series, delivers best of breed technology, designed with high power performance and efficiency in mind. We look forward to bringing these reliable solutions to our partners within Australia,” he said.
