ARN Emerging Leaders Forum - Award nominations closing soon

Awards will honour the channel across vendor, distributor, partner and start-up categories.

Nominations are closing soon for the upcoming awards program at the ARN Emerging Leaders Forum in 2017, with submissions now due by Wednesday, 3 May.

Echoing the inaugural launch in 2016, the return of Emerging Leaders this year provides a forum that identifies, educates and showcases the upcoming talent of the Australian ICT industry.

Recognising the achievements of the emerging leaders within the industry, the forum - set for 16 May - will host four awards, honouring the channel across vendor, distributor, partner and start-up categories.

Nominations are now live, with the winners set to be announced on May 16 at the Ivy Sunroom in Sydney.

  • Vendor - Recognises high potential individuals who are currently working at an ICT vendor - hardware, software, services, cloud or telecommunications.
  • Distributor - Recognises high potential individuals who are currently working at an ICT distributor organisation.
  • Partner - Recognises high potential individuals who are currently working at an ICT partner organisation - service provider, ISVs, MSPs, cloud service provider.
  • Start-up - Recognises risk-taking and entrepreneurship. The award salutes individuals from small to mid-sized start-ups (less than five years) and celebrates their successes, innovation, initiatives and growth.

Categories will be judged by an Emerging Leaders judging panel.

In its second year, this half day event in Sydney will provide attendees with industry champions as keynote speakers, panelists outlining future opportunities and leadership pathways, alongside mentoring sessions with 18 ARN Hall of Fame judges.

The forum will open with inspiring keynotes from future leaders in vendor, distributor and partner organisations, with Muralee Kanagaratnam of APC by Schneider Electric, Lisa Youlden of NEXTGEN and Nicki Page of MOQdigital taking to the stage.

Featuring Bede Hackney of Nimble Storage, John Donovan of ForgeRock and Dane Meah of InfoTrust, the keynotes will be followed by an industry panel discussion, debating - What are employers responsibilities in recognising and promoting emerging leaders?

In leveraging the experience and knowledge of 18 ARN Hall of Fame leaders, each attendee will then be allocated into three 20 minute mentoring sessions, creating an environment to listen, learn and ask questions to industry experts.
