Kirk Jones
Kirk Jones is stepping down from his role as channel director at Thousand Hands Technologies, a position he held for around four months.
Jones confirmed the exit in an email - seen by ARN - sent to colleagues and professional contacts, updating them on his move.
“Today will be my last day at Thousand Hands Technologies,” the email said, directing further queries to the relevant departments across Thousand Hands Technologies.
Jones did not mention the reason for his departure or what his future endeavours entail.
Jones is a noted player in the Australian channel landscape, having been the manager of software solutions at AC3 before taking on the role at Thousand Hands Technologies - he was working for the infrastructure and managed services company for more than two years.
Jones joined Thousand Hands Technologies when it was known as Hemisphere Technologies, just before it rebranded in March, seeing the company through the new branding.
Before AC3, Jones was the strategic alliance director at SoftwareOne for about two years.
In addition, he also moved up the ranks at Simply Technology, from general manager to sales director in the seven years that he spent at the company.
Jones was also the Asia Pacific vendor partner and licensing manager at Software Spectrum, now a part of Insight - he was in this company for almost four years.
Jones also worked at Data#3 as its New South Wales licensing manager for more than four years in the late ‘90s.
Neither Jones nor Thousand Hands Technologies had responded to ARN's queries at the time of writing.
