James Wootton (Intalock)
Former Protega Technologies director, James Wootton, has joined Intalock Technologies as its head of cyber security.
Wootton has been with the cyber security services provider for more than two years and was overlooking the company’s delivery of services and solutions to customers with cyber security and regulatory compliance challenges.
He was also in charge of the development of appropriate and cost effective risk reduction strategies and solutions through consultative and inclusive partnering.
That experience has bolstered his capabilities for his role at Intalock, the company said.
At the managed services and consulting company, which focuses on security, Wootton will oversee the cyber security operations, aiming to build the company into being subject-matter specialists in information management and cyber security.
Prior to his stint at Protega, Wootton was the head of consultancy at Jumpsec, a technical information security consultancy. In this role, which he was in for three months, he was responsible for the development of the technical capability of the business.
Before that, he was the technical director at IRM PLC for more than three years. Here, he was responsible for the delivery of IRM's technical consultancy services and the strategic development of the company's technical service lines.]
Wootton also ran and owned a boutique security consultancy in Britain, Electric Cat, for nearly seven years.
Intalock has been making headlines in recent times for its partner wins.
Most recently, the company claimed the coveted Partner of the Year 2017 (Pacific) award and took home the New Partner of the Year award at the NetApp partner awards.
