The NSW Government has named Winc Australia, Ingram Micro and Fujitsu Australia among the 13 tech players it has selected for the second tranche of its whole-of-government ICT end-user devices and services procurement panel.
The so-called 999 ICT panel replaces the previous 888 ICT hardware panel, which lapsed at the end of July last year.
The NSW Department of Finance, Services and Innovation said in March last year is was on the hunt for partners to join a new panel of contractors to supply hardware and services under a whole-of-government IT procurement arrangement.
The multi-year panel arrangement will see local partners vie for a chunk of the estimated $90 million annual expenditure currently incurred by NSW government agencies for the procurement of hardware and services.
The new whole-of-government panel was to be arranged in two lots, with the first lot comprising original equipment manufacturers of hardware that may be supplied by the panel of contractors to include a number of devices.
Items covered under the first lot include personal computers, desktop computers, laptop computers, notebook computers, ruggedised notebooks, docking stations for computers, monitors for computers and hybrid computers.
The second lot captures providers of services that may be supplied by a panel of contractors to include services such as asset tagging, pre-delivery configuration, pre-delivery imaging, basic installation, extended installation, sanitisation services, decommissioning services, and disposal services.
In August last year, the NSW Government revealed the names of the suppliers with which it was in the process of finalising agreements for the first lot of the new 999 contract, including Acer Computer Australia, HP PPS Australia, Lenovo, Toshiba Client Solutions A/NZ and Microsoft Australia.
Now, the Government has named the suppliers that will be able to provide services for the second lot of the new panel arrangement.
