AGC Networks vice president of sales and Australian country manager Sorin Harpa has left the solutions integrator after spending nine months in the role.

This is the third country manager shift for the integrator in the past 15 months. Prior to Harpa's appointment, Rajan Roy was in the top role for a very brief period, following the departure of Tony Heywood in November 2017.

Harpa will be finishing up from his position at the end of April, and there is no word yet on who will take on the country manager’s responsibility.

Prior to Harpa joining AGC, he held a variety of leadership roles with companies such as Kaltura, Cisco, Singtel/Optus, Polycom and Alcatel Lucent.

It has been a busy few months for AGC, which completed its acquisition of US-based digital solutions provider Black Box in January.

The acquisition added US$600 million to AGC’s revenue, taking the newly combined entity to more than US$750 million in revenue with a global headcount of more than 4,000, further establishing a global footprint in more than 25 countries.

As a result of the acquisition, Black Box will become a subsidiary of AGC, and will continue to run as is, in the short term, AGC Networks and Black Box CEO Sanjeev Verma, said in a statement.

“The merger of our two companies will create a unique organisation that has the scale to deliver world-wide technical solutions to the largest organisations,” he said at the time.
