MuleSoft's Rob Thorne
A year on since being acquired by Salesforce, business application network platform provider MuleSoft has made Rob Thorne its new local head of Asia Pacific.
Former vice president of Asia Pacific, Will Bosma has moved on as vice president of Japan.
Thorne first joined Salesforce via its acquisition of ExactTarget in 2013 and was most recently the regional head of Asia Pacific for five years.
In his new post, Thorne will be responsible for continuing to drive growth for MuleSoft across Asia Pacific. According to MuleSoft, it is poised for continued growth across A/NZ and is on track to meet its next milestone of US$1 billion in revenue.
Thorne also sees the opportunity in connecting the Salesforce and MuleSoft channels to open up further opportunities across the region. Current MuleSoft partners include Accenture, Agile Digital, Capgemini, Datacom, Deloitte Digital, Infront, Leidos, NEC, Surround Australia and Veritec.
Thorne will also be tasked with leading the team to drive strong outcomes for its extensive list of local customers including Deakin University, BaptistCare, Boral, EnergyAustralia, Lane Crawford, New South Wales Department of Family and Community Services (FaCS), REA Group, Ricoh Australia, Service NSW, Tic:Toc, iSelect, IP Australia, QBE Group Services, MLC Limited, Bank of New Zealand and Village Roadshow.
In March last year, Salesforce confirmed it has struck a deal to acquire fellow US software maker MuleSoft for approximately US$6.5 billion.
