ASI Solutions is on the acquisition hunt following a string of new client wins that have generated revenue growth of almost five per cent to $87 million.

The year-on-year FY19 growth came off the back of major contract wins with the Victorian Government on the end user computing contract and panel contract to supply Microsoft and Apple.

It also picked up wins with NSW Department of Education; Monash Health EMR Project; LVMH retail sites and services; SGS Australia; Malwarebytes and private school success in managed and security services.

ASI Solutions managing director, Nathan Lowe, said the growth was a remarkable result considering it was forecasting a decline due to a major vendor’s changed distribution model.

However, this has turned this around to increase sales with that vendor through a reseller model that focuses on end user engagement.

Overall, ASI’s managed services division was the standout, growing 18 per cent in revenue, as it pursued an aggressive strategy across three core sectors including education, government and corporate.

ASI  noted that ‘as-a-service’ offerings continue to appeal to clients in these sectors.

During the past year, the company added to its capability by providing security-as-a-service, strengthening its portfolio. Lowe is also keen on exploring acquisitions to help expand the business overseas in the 2020 financial year.

“The business is looking at acquisitions in the 2020 new financial year and we’re open to this across Australia and New Zealand,” Lowe said. “In saying that, any acquisition needs to fit and be a partnership for everyone involved.  As a business we recognise it is important to grow but it’s also important to us as an organisation that we maintain the current company culture.

“The business has always been successful based on our core values, and on our ability to be flexible and agile in the market.  This is not something we want to ever change and something our customers value.”

Following last year’s appointment of Jason Eaton as head of customer experience, ASI has established a customer advisory board featuring representatives from all core industries that will aim to meet bi-annually.

“ASI Solutions’ continued growth is heavily dependent on how well the company understands and recognises our customer needs, and on how well we deliver on solving their pain points,” Lowe said.

“We’re excited about the Board, which allows us to hear straight from our key customers. They know us well and the Board will be a forum for invaluable feedback on where we can help, and on where they see opportunity for future improvements and further enhancements.’’

Furthermore, ASI has made new hires in Perth, Armidale and Townsville to support its expanding customer base. Its Victorian team has also grown inline with new customer wins.

Alongside local growth, the company has also expanded its offshore Support Desk team in Manila, which works closely with the Australian Support Desk to ensure seamless 24/7 customer support.
