Software vendor Zendesk has announced an expansion in Melbourne that will result in the creation of 70 engineering jobs.
The expansion is set to make the Melbourne-based team into the vendor's largest product innovation team across Asia-Pacific.
The upcoming jobs will bring the company's local workforce to more than 320 people.
The soon to be created jobs will focus on software development in big data, app marketplace design and integration, engineering support and platform design.
Zendesk first opened its APAC headquarters in Melbourne in 2011 with plans of creating 20 new jobs at the time.
The local headquarters is now Zendesk’s largest artificial intelligence, machine learning and automation engineering workforce after San Francisco.
In July 2014, the company announced an expansion of its Asia-Pacific Development Centre into a new building in Melbourne to create capacity for an additional 100 work stations.
