Artificial intelligence and robotics company Stealth Technologies has inked a new agreement with software industrial company, Honeywell to build experimental autonomous robotic vehicles.
Based in Westernn Australia, publicly-listed ‘venture builder’ Strategic Elements launched Stealth Technologies in July.
Strategic Elements managing director Charles Murphy said it had put an enormous amount of effort in the past 10 months, growing the Stealth venture from its inception to working with Honeywell.
“The team has been working to finalise a number of opportunities and we look forward to potentially unveiling some highly innovative projects,” Murphy said.
Under the terms of the partnership, Honeywell will pay $100,000 to Stealth to begin developing an experimental autonomous robotic vehicle. Any further payments will depend on the outcome of additional opportunities.
Autonomous robotic vehicles have a variety of uses for navigation, mapping, localisation and movement.
Robots are also used for inspection, transportation and surveillance activities across many industry sectors such as military, mining and metals, electricity sectors, oil and gas, automotive, building and healthcare industries.
As part of this partnership, the companies will be focused on security related applications aimed at the mining and defence industry sectors.
“This is a significant achievement for Stealth and the Strategic Elements team. Strategic Elements director Elliot Nicholls has been instrumental in leading the technical team and forming partners. Matthew Howard has also been the driving force behind Stealth Technologies," Murphy said.
