ASP added to ISPCON

The second annual ISPCON, or ISP conference, to be held in August, will now include a day on ASPs.

Hosted by Kirby Network Services and Penton, the conference will be held in the Melbourne Convention Centre from August 14-16, with the ASPCON sessions held on Tuesday, August 15. Sessions include ASP architecture and security, Web-based applications and collaborative B2B e-commerce.

The full three-day conference costs $765, and a single day or the ASPCON alone costs $545, but discounts are available for early registration prior to July 24.www.australia.internet.com3d3.COM launches into JapanAustralian company 3d3.COM has signed a $1.2 million a year deal with Japanese distributor Xlsoft which will see the company's Internet shop builder, Shop Factory, become the first international "shop in a box solution" distributed in Japan.

Japan is the first of a number of Asian markets in which 3D3 ShopFactory will be distributed, with negotiations currently ongoing in China, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. The push into Asia follows previous moves into Europe and the US.

Collage expands into data compression

Online solutions provider Collage Technology will be adding Piranha's multimedia compression technology to their distribution range following a recently finalised partnership agreement.

Collage will be the sole distributor of the Piranha products to the Australian and NZ markets. The range compresses images, text, video and film formats to assist businesses in creating more visual Web sites that download quickly and save on data storage space.

Internet business Asia Online has launched its first ASP offering to the Australian market with the introduction of the CenoSuite.

Currently being offered to the Hong Kong market, Asia Online aims to give users the strategic advantage of Internet access, while cutting their costs significantly. The suite is being offered in conjunction with the CenoStation, a book-size appliance that supports an Internet connection, keyboard, mouse and monitor.
