Maxamine appoints distributor

Adelaide-based software developer Maxamine has appointed Singapore-based Boustead IT to manage its distribution network in Australia and the Asia Pacific, leaving Maxamine free to develop its US expansion strategy.

Previously, all distribution was done in-house by Maxamine. Stephen Kirkby, CEO of Maxamine, said the product was currently sold through strategic partnerships as part of the consulting tools for companies like KPMG, but he hopes Boustead IT will sign up more systems integrators and resellers.

"Direct selling over the Web is impacting the business of systems integrators and resellers. This is an opportunity for them to build new sources of revenue," Kirkby said.

The software is used to analyse any publicly accessible Web site, enabling the reseller to present and analyse data to the client and provide consulting services on how to restructure the Web site to make it more effective.

Kirkby said he chose Boustead IT because of their experience taking similar products to market and their excellent infrastructure and extensive client list. As well as its Asian base, Boustead IT has offices in every capital city in Australia.

Maxamine is currently training Boustead IT on its product suite, including two new products to be released over the next few months.

Maxamine's research and development is done in Adelaide, but sales and marketing is now based out of San Francisco in the US, and Maxamine plans to focus its energies on the growing US market.
