Cloud software company AvePoint has launched its Dynamics 365 back-up solution on Ingram Micro’s Cloud Marketplace.

The deal will give resellers and managed services providers (MSPs) in Australia and New Zealand access to the cloud-to-cloud back-up solution, enabling them to bundle and resell it with other services.

The solution granularly restores Dynamics 365 entities and data, and can be used alongside either AvePoint's Azure storage or the user's own cloud or storage options.

US-headquartered AvePoint first joined the cloud marketplace last October when it started offering its Office 365 back-up in the platform.

The move will now allow partners to extend their Microsoft Cloud services and add back-up-as-a-service for Dynamics CRM workloads, according to Andre Carpenter, AvePoint's director of channel and alliances in A/NZ.

“Not only does it allow channel partners to offer more services and increase their margin, but it will also save those partners a significant amount of time in managing their client’s infrastructure by managing Office 365 and Dynamics 365 back-ups all from one central platform,” he added.

First launched in A/NZ in 2015, the Ingram Micro Cloud Marketplace now counts more than 55,000 technology partners on the platform, the distributor revealed in March.

Last October, Ingram Micro refreshed the marketplace, unifying three control panels – transaction, administration and management – into one user interface.

Meanwhile, AvePoint recently signalled an intent to grow its A/NZ channel by hiring Carpenter as its first regional channel chief.

The former Oracle technologist told ARN at the time that he intended to move AvePoint away from direct sales and make the vendor “100 per cent-channel” in the region.
