Express Data’s Brisbane office has joined the Queensland recovery efforts helping one resident’s house which was devastated by the floods.
After offering their time to both Volunteering Queensland and ABC Emergency, the Express Data team was assigned the task of gutting an entire house in preparation for rebuild in one of the hardest hit areas of Brisbane, Fairfield.
“We’re proud to be part of the relief effort,” Express Data QLD/NT branch manager, Jeff Lombardo, said.
“Even though Express Data is back to business as usual, many businesses and community members will be affected for months to come. We wanted to show them our support.”
Express Data has given all Brisbane staff members three days discretionary leave in response to the floods, allowing staff to respond to personal, family or community related issues.
In addition, Express Data has also donated $10,000 directly to the Premier’s Disaster Relief Appeal and plans to match dollar for dollar donations made by all staff.
“This tragedy has had significant impact on the community,” Express Data CEO, Ross Cochrane, said. “We will be working to support our customers by listening to their needs and committing resources to speed the recovery”.
