Asta has completed the acquisition of technology services company Crunch IT, marking the organisation’s transformation into one of the only cross-platform managed IT service providers in Australia.

The deal, which was over six months in the making, pairs Asta’s expertise in Microsoft and related products area with Crunch IT’s expertise in Apple enterprise support services, designed to provide the delivery of end-to-end IT services in Melbourne and now Sydney markets.

Asta CEO, Bill Angelidis, said the acquisition marked the beginning of the organisation’s long-term vision for Asta to become the preferred IT services provider in Australia.

“The shift to consumer driven end-user computing and BYOD has seen Apple devices enter the corporate environment in significant numbers and will continue to grow,” Angelidis said.

“Asta is responding to this shift to deliver cross platform managed services, web and mobile application development and support.”

Operating across Melbourne and Sydney, Asta provides web and software development services spanning business consulting, mobile application development, managed services and cloud.

“We are proud to be expanding the business into Sydney and adding complimentary services for our clients to benefit from and most importantly providing opportunities to our team of over 85 staff,” Angelidis added.

“This is another step towards our 2020 goals for the organisation as we add additional capabilities as a service provider and work towards the future, with plans to expand Asta into a wider group that will offer end-to-end IT solutions and services to our clients.”

Meanwhile, Crunch IT is an Apple consultant with expertise across integration, risk management, networking and strategic IT planning.

Key customers include L’Oreal, Macarthur Legal Centre and Leba Ethnic Media, with vendor partnerships also covering VMware, HP, Microsoft and Samsung.

“After months of discussion, we agreed there was a need to form a single source for all of our clients’ IT support needs, Asta will now be able to meet all of the enterprise support IT needs,” Crunch IT CEO, Mark Williams, added.

“While I will be in and out of the company’s day-to-day operations and focusing on family, I look forward to working with Bill and seeing the business flourish under his guidance.”
