Australian ISV Local Measure has inked a partnership with social media giant Snap to bring smartphone content onto public screens.
The Sydney-based customer intelligence platform maker will integrate its technology with Snap’s Story Kit software, which will allow venues such as retail outlets, hotels and sports stadiums to display Snapchat content publicly through Cisco Digital Signage.
Content displayed will be crowdsourced from users’ Snap Map posts, the social media platform's location feature.
According to Local Measure, the displays are aimed at boosting customer engagement during a location visit and encouraging social media posts about a particular venue. The integration will be rolled out globally.
“We are very proud to form this new partnership that’s helping businesses connect to their customers in a more relevant and personal way and drive positive experiences online,” Local Measure CEO Jonathan Barouch said.
“Combining social content with location intelligence, and displaying that on Cisco Vision screens, gives businesses an easy way to share the customer experience while creating opportunities for engagement,” said Bryan Bedford, global industry partner lead, sports, retail and media at Cisco.
Founded in 2013, Local Measure partners with Cisco and integrates its analytics software with products such as Cisco Meraki, Cisco Webex Teams and Cisco Vision.
The company also has Salesforce, IBM, Instagram, Facebook, Google Analytics, Wordpress and Hootsuite as its technology partners.
Local Measure has five offices, including in London, Miami, Singapore and Dubai, as well as Sydney.
