Australian IT services company CSA has signed a partnership with the University of Newcastle to develop and manage digital platforms for the university as part of its efforts to ‘drive innovation’.
The company, which has vendor partnerships with Microsoft and ServiceNow, had previously had a long-running partnership with the university, recently extending it by signing a managed services contract in October last year.
“Although the university and CSA have been partnering for many years, this is really the start of a strategic partnership that encompasses a range of digital capabilities and our foundational functions and technologies,” the university's CIO Anthony Molinia said.
“By partnering with a leading technology provider, we are able to build localised IT capability that not only benefits IT services, it also supports the development of community and local career paths for technology graduates at our university.”
The partnership will see CSA assist the university with ideation, automation and dynamic teaming.
Founded in 1986 and based in Sydney, Melbourne and Newcastle, CSA provides services across digital transformation, technology modernisation, cyber security and managed services.
It claims to have 1,500 clients and partnerships with 70 per cent of NSW universities.
According to CSA chief executive Brett Woods, the partnership with the University of Newcastle has already boosted the adoption of digital services across students, staff and resources.
