Only Gold or Platinum may apply

Queensland Health is on the hunt for a new Veritas partner to support its email archiving system.

The State Government agency has launched a tender for a Veritas Enterprise Vault registered partner at either Platinum or Gold level to maintain its existing deployment of the solution.

Specifically, the contract will cover 85,000 Veritas Enterprise Vault storage management licences, 80,000 Vault e-discovery and 768 storage foundation licenses for a minimum term of two years.

The tender replaces an existing Veritas partner for Queensland Health, whose support and maintenance contract is due to expire on 30 September.

According to Queensland Health, the provider will be required to supply continuous upgrades and application assistance covering access rights, integration changes and troubleshooting, as well as downtime outside of business hours.

The tender will close on 6 August with the new contract due to start on 1 October.

Earlier this year, Queensland’s Department of Education awarded a $7.8 million contract to Brisbane-headquartered managed services provider Intalock Technologies for managed service provision across its Veritas solutions.

The month before, the data back-up vendor acquired US-headquartered Aptare, gaining access to its hybrid cloud analytics solutions.

Through the buyout, Veritas will be able to offer customers an enhanced analytics platform that provides insights and reporting across different data protection, virtual infrastructure and storage environments.
