Leading Aussie partners shine as Veeam caps off stellar 2017

Seven Australian awards recognise success across the vendor’s portfolio

Veeam has honoured its top performing partners across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ), acknowledging excellence in the Australian channel during 2017.

Unveiled during the 2017 Veeam A/NZ ProPartners Awards in Sydney, the awards recognise partners capable of demonstrating success across the vendor’s portfolio, while also providing support, knowledge, and ongoing product education.

Specific to Australia, Telstra took home the ProPartner honours, with Vintek acknowledged as a Rising Star.

Across the vendor’s cloud and service provider ecosystem, Blue Apache was recognised as the leading partner, with the Rising Star award going to Inabox Group.

From an individual perspective, Greig Ebeling of Datacom claimed Champion of the Year, with Laura Serra of CloudRecover rewarded for Marketing Excellence.

On the distribution front, Ingram Micro Australia came out on top.

“Our partners enable us to provide data and back-up solutions for so many businesses across Australia and New Zealand to ensure always-on access to these applications,” Veeam vice president of A/NZ, Gary Mitchell, told ARN.

“We are excited to recognise and honour these Australian and New Zealand partners with our highest achievement awards.”

The awards follow the the latest update to the ProPartner Program across A/NZ, following a similar refresh across North American and European markets.

Mitchell said the update is designed to provide new business opportunities for Silver, Gold and Platinum ProPartners, with the ability to earn additional margin for net new customers now in place.

Additionally, the Alliance Attach Program will offer Silver, Gold and Platinum resellers the ability to earn deal registration benefits when eligible alliance technologies are sold in conjunction with Veeam solutions.

“The program that we have introduced is about the reward of additional margin for partners who actually go out there and identify new business customers to Veeam,” Mitchell added.

“The incentive is not just to work with us to develop and grow an opportunity but about creating new opportunities for themselves too.

“Our ProPartner program is about cherishing and celebrating these relationships and creating more opportunities for us to work together effectively, supporting each other on a journey to provide unprecedented availability for any app, any data, on any cloud.”

Across the trans-Tasman market, total bookings increased 19 per cent during FY17, with 9,531 customers now transacting through Veeam locally, backed up by 2,731 ProPartners.
