Westcon-Comstor has appointed John Poulter as director of Comstor in Australia, tasked with growing the distributor’s Cisco, NetApp and F5 Networks practice.

In overseeing the dedicated Cisco practice, Poulter is responsible for developing vendor specific specialisations, skills and accreditation, in a bid to deepen partner experience and enablement.

Effective immediately, Sydney-based Poulter will report directly to Phil Cameron, managing director of Australia at Westcon-Comstor.

“We are delighted to announce John’s appointment and I’m very excited to have him join our local leadership team,” Cameron told ARN.

Poulter joins the business following more than 12 months at NTT Communications ICT Solutions as director of alliances, having joined the technology provider from Oracle in September 2017.

Prior to Oracle, Poulter worked at itX Group, which later became a part of Avnet Technology Solutions in a range of management roles.

“I look forward in leading the Comstor transformation journey we are embarking on,” Poulter said.

“We will deliver an enhanced experience and greater level of support for the partner ecosystem and our key vendors as we collectively reshape our businesses and go-to-market to take advantage of the digital transformation journey.”

Launched locally in September 2015, Comstor is a dedicated value-added distributor of Cisco networking, collaboration, security and data centre solutions, bolstered by accompanying NetApp and F5 portfolios.
