Check Point adds self-service tools to partner program

Launches pay-as-you-go incentive scheme plus registration app

Check Point Software Technologies has added new tools to its Engage partner program in order to help the channel generate leads and register their deals.

The first of these is a pay-as-you-go (PAYG) incentive program for its enterprise security CloudGuard solutions, which will allow resellers to register customers’ purchases made via the AWS and Azure marketplaces.

According to Check Point, the scheme will give direct long-term rewards for both the initial sales opportunity and for ongoing engagement with customers of cloud security solutions.

In addition, the vendor has launched a mobile app for partners where they can locate resources and support.

If the partner uses it to record sales activities, the app automatically connects these to Engage partner program benefits and promotions.

“At the start of this year, our CEO Gil Shwed said ‘It’s time to reinvest in our partners'. With these new initiatives, we are doing exactly that – doubling down on our commitment to helping our partners be more successful and profitable,” Check Point head of worldwide channels Frank Rauch said.

“The Engage app will accelerate partner rewards and give faster access to the tools they need to unlock sales opportunities with both new and existing customers, and the CloudGuard PAYG program is unique in recognising partners’ long-term investments in customers embracing the cloud model,” he added.

Check Point launched the Engage program in February this year in an effort to remove “the complexity often associated with selling and supporting security solutions" while rewarding partners for sales-generating activities.

Originally named Check PointS, the program will allow partners to earn points for sales and lead activities. In January 2020, partners’ points totals will help determine their level in the program., the vendor announced at the time.

According to Check Point, the now-named Engage program offers increased product margins, market development funding and also added more training in sales and products.

For partners lacking a CRM, the program offers a history of all team interactions with customers and visibility for commercial actions, the company added.
